Since putting together the shared contacts work for Roundcube, I've put some effort into specifying a bit better the format that contacts should take, this work is now up on the development site [1]. It basically tracks vCard, but in JSON format for easier use. I'd welcome any comments that anyone has of any part of it. Thanks Alex.
