I think lots of cat "servants" (not owners, lol!) have "bad cat stories" ... here are two of ours, same cat!
When Beckham (yes, for the famed Brit footballer, soccer to us in the US) was a kitten, he started acting as if his stomach was quite upset, more than hairball normal, so after a day or so of greenish bile (yuck!) I took him to the vet - turned out he'd swallowed a dime!! 350 bucks later, all was well. We saved that dime (corroded and ugly as it was after just a day and a half inside a cat tummy!) for awhile, DH said at $350 it was too valuable to throw out. When we first moved into our new house last spring, one very early morning I woke up to Beckham crying, but I couldn't figure out where he was - the cats weren't allowed outside yet then because we're on a very busy road, but I thought he'd gotten outside somehow. When I went out to try to find him, I could hear him better, thought he was underneath the little mudroom/porch, but suddenly I heard him climbing UP the INSIDE of the wall and into the soffit at the rooflline - where he kept meowing and meowing, of course. :-) After much angst (and a good friend with a ladder to climb up and try to get into the soffit) it turned out he had gotten back into the house the same way he got into the wall - through an almost-hidden accessway in the back of an upstairs bedroom closet - we hadn't even known about the access! So we all learned something new in our new house - and promptly made sure the little doors in the two closets were shut tight. I love cats and books both :-) Gurukarm gkkk4 on BC [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
