Hi, everyone, I've got a bunch of paranormals read and ready to find new homes, so I thought I'd invite you to participate in a bookbox. I am going to fill a box with the books that I'm finished with. For this box, the genres allowed will be paranormal romance, romantic suspense, fantasy, and/or horror. The box will contain a list of books and who put them in. When you take a book, you put your name in the "taken by" column. For each book you take, you must put in a book that you no longer want, that fits one of the four genres listed, and add the title to the book list. You have three business days after receiving the box to mail it along to the next person on the list. I ask that you use a delivery confirmation slip so that we can track the box on its travels (it's about 55 cents more to do this, but well worth it, believe me). The last person on the list sends the box back to me. Books should be in good condition--no missing covers, bathtub survivors, etc. Since I'm a member of BookCrossing, all my books have BookCrossing labels in them. If you take a BookCrossing book, I ask that you make a journal entry on it THAT DAY rather than wait until you've read the book. (Just follow the directions on the label--you don't even have to join BookCrossing to do that.) This box will go out in the mail next Friday (July 7th), so I'll accept requests to join until Wednesday the 5th. I've started a Yahoo Group for this and other bookboxes that I'll be putting together. We'll be posting about this box at that group. That group is also going to feature RABCK offers (if you have a book you no longer want, you can offer it to the group and send it to whoever you like, or put it up for trade, etc.) and we'll have a wish list, too. Just a little teaser--I'm including some time travel books, Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, Mary Jo Putney, and lots of other goodies. I hope some of you will participate. For overseas members, the box will go to all USA members first (unless someone is willing to ship a box overseas). When it gets back to me, I will email each of the remaining members in turn with a list of what's in the box. You choose what you want, and I'll send it directly to you, and you can send me an equal number of books. Mellanie
