Here are my reads for January. Keep in mind that I am unemployed children's librarian, so I had the chance to read quite a few books in January. And if you haven't read a children's picture book in a while - you should treat yourself. Check out this year's Caldecott Winner - Flotsam by David Wiesner. Of the fiction books I read in January, The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak was by far the best. The girl's love of books really touched me. Also, The Time Traveler's Wife by Neffinger (which I read as part of a bookring was very engrossing. It's a long book, but well worth the read.
