Hi! There does seem to be SOME BC activity in Allentown; the hunting
pages ( http://www.bookcrossing.com/hunt/1/40/22000/travel_-USA--
Pennsylvania--Allentown ) show fairly recent releases at a local
Panera, for one thing. I don't know if any of those titles interested
you enough to try hunting for them, or if that location just isn't
convenient for you to get to, but if it is a place you could reach it
might be worth keeping an eye out for new releases. [If you try book-
hunting and don't find the book where the release notes said it would
be, it's often worth asking an employee if somebody turned it in to
lost-and-found.]

Another way to get things moving would be to register and release
some books of your own; if you leave them at the same release spots
used by other local BCers you might get a catch from them, or even
get a new member!

There are other ways to share books on BookCrossing, as well. Many
BCers enjoy trading with each other by mail; not the same thing as a
wild release, but it can be fun. If you're interested in that kind of
thing, check out the BookCrossing FAQ on BCer TexasWren's site (
http://www.texaswren.com ); it includes information about many of the
optional ways BCers share books, and suggests the proper etiquette
for offering or requesting trades. (Note that all such activities are
completely optional - no BCer is *required* to trade and many prefer
not to. And these activities are done at your own risk; books do get
lost in the mail, and sometimes people don't follow through on
agreements. But it can be a lot of fun to share books this way.)
