Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Sony's e-reader much less
proprietory? My (college) son has one, and he downloads free books
from Project Gutenberg and other sources.

I want Sony because of the easy-on-the-migraines e-paper, but neither
of these readers is backlit for people who want to read in bed - does
anyone know of competition that with flickerless lit screen, or viewing
options, or whatever?

I read several of Amazon's articles and reviews and agree with the one
who said 'give away the razor and sell the blades' - Kindle is awfully
expensive for a niche-filler.

Who has what reader and what do you like and dislike about yours?

Cheryl
