I read 4 books this month: Trunk Music - Michael Connelly B+ In this one, Bosch gets on the trail of the mob when the murder he's investigating goes in that direction.
John Saturnall's Feast - Lawrence Norfolk C+/B- I won this book from Goodreads and although the story was interesting, I just had to pull myself to get back to the book when I put it down. It's well written and the descriptions are good, I think it had to do with all the food descriptions. I love food but don't really like to cook. The book takes place in the 1600's in England. John is a boy living with his mother who the townfolk think is a witch. When everyone starts getting sick in the town, they are run out and have to live in the forest foraging for food and warmth. John's mother dies from starvation and John is taken to Sir William's estate where his mother made sure the preacher would send him if anything happened to her. He becomes a kitchen boy and soon advances with his excellent pallet. Still Life with Murder - PB Ryan A - Victorian mystery series and I'm already looking for the 2nd one. This was a freebie on Kindle. I have found some good authors out of these freebies. Face of Betrayal - Lise Wiehl - B - Mystery based loosely on the Chandra Levy case. Oh, and this was an audio! I didn't think I had any this month!
