Dear All,
We have managed to get ourselves accredited in the
first batch of the process.
This is a temporary accreditation valid for 6
months only.
I am missing a couple of documents which still
need to be submitted in order to gain full
accreditation, but this is a formality.
The police are aiming to get a list of the
accredited associations published on their website :
http://www.saps.gov.za/crime_prevention/shg.htm
under the heading "Accredited Second-Hand Goods Dealers'
Associations". It is expected that the above information
will appear by latest on Monday 2 June 2012.
Our temporary accreditation number is : T/007/2012.
We have to have the exemptions for SABDA members
finalised before the 31st of July which is a race
against the clock. At least we have achieved the
first hurdle.
I am still urging people not to register as
dealers yet please, we have until the 31st of July
before this becomes an issue.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any
queries or if you need any assistance with the SHGA.
