Dear Bookdealers It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the first ever Big Brightwater Commons Book Fair! The Brightwater Commons in conjunction with Bookdealers will be co-hosting this wonderful event beginning Friday the 28th of September and ending on Sunday the 30th of September. We envision the Promotions Court packed to capacity with books on every possible subject. If that's not enough to grab your attention, reputable local authors will be invited to attend and host readings and discussions and debates with the public on their work. ( Eric Miyeni, Rian Malan, Jo-anne Richards and Andie Miller have already confirmed). With the Brightwater Commons attracting on average 40 000 people during a weekend, we are certain that the event will be a great success. The centre will be hosting a free 'Cool Concert' on Sunday the 30th of September on it's lawns. This will provide a further attraction to visitors, which will also help to set an exciting atmosphere for the Book Fair. We will ensure the marketing of this event be extensive encompassing online, offline and social media platforms. Should you like to be a part of our event here are the necessary details: - The Brightwater Commons will provide the tables and table cloths at no charge - Security will also be provided at no cost to the exhibitor on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm - Electricity points will be available for your convenience - Kindly advise us of the number of tables you will require - Exhibitor setup for the event will take place on Thursday, 27th September What we need from you: - A R500 deposit, R400 will be refunded at the end of the event. - Plastic covers to protect your stock as the Promotions Court at Brightwater has open sides. Our intention is to turn this into an annual literary event in Johannesburg. We would really like you to be a part of it. There are limited tables available and these will be handled on a first-come first-serve basis. Don't delay, reply to this email to reserve your spot.
