I'm curious what type or model player you are using. Several years ago, the Radio's alarm was VERY unreliable. At some point, changes were made to address this, and as a result, it will sometimes "over-react" to apparent lack of a valid stream, and instead play its internal "backup" alarm sound. Based on your description of "beeps" instead, that's probably a Boom - I don't think it's alarm "fall-back" logic is as aggressive as the Radio's, but it's likely not getting a valid stream fast enough before it reverts to the backup alarm sound - changing the URL may have resulted in a "more responsive" radio stream. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tcutting's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17402 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105068 _______________________________________________ Boom mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/boom
