Interesting... I wasn't aware that this was a known problem... Crap...does that mean it is an eventuality for my other four booms???
I removed the grills, and the rubber surround looks like it's in good shape... Upon closer inspection, I do see a slight "pucker" on the rubber edges that meet the boom body (as opposed to the paper cone). It appears to be a very slight "pucker"... Any chance I can just take it apart and use some glue to reattach the existing rubber gasket to the speaker body? Looking for all of your collective experience here... Thanks!!! BTW, is there any instructions on how to remove the speakers? Looks like just four torx screws to remove the center stack...
