Hi all, I think it's the glue you see on the right. Slimdevices / Logitech were rather generous with it so in worse cases the blob could cover some of the display pins entirely. Not their best idea. It may be possible to soften that stuff up a little by giving it some hot air. It will turn brown or black if temperature is too high, and get even harder then, so that should be done with care. When softened up, it can be removed with a small flathead screwdriver or a spudger. Always keep in mind that the PCB vias are right beneath the blade. Better plan to spend an hour just peeling of layer by layer of that snot.
