I have 2 booms and I think they are great. I love the sound quality. I
was never able to get a satellite signal for Sirius/XM in my apartment.
I even bought an outdoor antenna to put on my balcony. Receiving a
signal was hit and miss. So I was really disappointed when Sirius/XM
dropped their support for the boom. Looking around on the web I noticed
that there aren't many good options for Internet radio. After reading
rave reviews for the Sonos Play 5 I bought one. It sounds good enough
but I was expecting better sound after spending $500 . I think the boom
sounds better at less than half the price. But I knew Logitech wasn't
going to support software for a product they no longer sell. I know
about Chromecast Audio for $35 but they don't have Sirius/XM. The
workarounds to get it onto the boom seemed too complicated for me. I
don't know why Internet radios don't have a bigger presence in the
marketplace. There aren't many good options since Logitech got out of
the game.
