Thanks to the help on this board and the Digital Content Manager at
KCLU, I can now listen to KCLU on my SBB again.

Here is KCLU's quick response to my feedback:

--Hi John,

This is Andy, Digital Content Manager at KCLU. I’d like to thank you for
your support and for being a devoted listener!

In regards to your streaming issue: the move to HTTPS was part of a
transition to a standard set by NPR; the deadline was earlier in
October. The HTTPS stream is a more secure link, and the major internet
radios like Amazon Echo and Google Dot are compatible with it.
Unfortunately, as you’ve seen, it seems that Logitech and some smaller
companies are incompatible with HTTPS. That they have yet to update
their compatibility to is unfortunate, but the move to HTTPS is part of
a broader move by NPR towards more security, and we seek to remain in
compliance.

However! After hearing from a number of listeners with issues like your
own, we also decided to commit some resources to recreating an HTTP
stream. The address on that stream has changed, which is why your
Squeezebox can’t access it. I’ve tried sending Logitech support the new
link, but have yet to hear back. In the meantime, here is the link
itself http://kclustream.callutheran.edu:8092/kclump3

If there’s anything else I can help you with, or if you have further
questions, please feel free to contact me by email or you can call my
office at .

Andy--

It would seem that other NPR stations will be following this protocol.
Whether or not they provide an alternate HTTP stream is unknown.

Thanks again!!!;)
