Being a teacher's assistant is not the path to riches. In fact, I taught
two introduction to Perl classes at Northeastern last fall for less
money than was offered by Prof. Peregrino. It *is* a great way to further
the general interests of Perl and help dispel ugly rumors about Perl's
elitism. Although it is a cliche, teaching is its own reward.
