I am arranging with our Boston.com members to have the Tech Meeting on
Tuesday, August 14. (One week from tomorrow.) I expect we will know
definitely by the end of today if the meeting will be that night.
Boston.pm possesses a very nice projector (Epson PowerLite 700c), which was
generously donated by NuSphere. (Patrick Lannigan, who arranged the
donation, introduced me to the NuSphere CEO at TPC last month.) I am sort
of the custodian of the projector. I bring it to all the Boston.pm tech
meetings, including last month's meeting where Damian used it for his talk
on Perl6.

Uri wanted to borrow the projector for Damian's Object-Oriented Perl class.
This class was not directly affiliated with Boston.pm. Uri and I agreed
that he would provide catering for the Boston.pm social meeting that he was
hosting, in exchange for the use of the projector for Damian's class.
My main concerns were A) I didn't want to handle money on behalf on
Boston.pm, but B) I didn't want to set a precedent for giving the projector
out for nothing.
Of course, the projector is owned by all of Boston.pm, so please feel free
to share any feedback you have on this matter.
