Kinda depends on how flaky the hardware is, I suppose.  The flakier,
the more points for journaling.  I kinda wish I had journaling
filesystems on my laptop that crashes if I close the screen or suspend
to disk while running X or for various other reasons(?).  With its
12GB drive and /usr mounted ro, it takes over 10 minutes to recover.
