Setting aside for a moment the wisdom of having a really secure system,
wasn't Greg just asking for an easy-to-set-up version of Linux that he
could run at home to play with Perl on? It didn't sound he needed such
strict securty assurances, just working Perl on working Linux.
I'd think that a recentish version of Redhat or Mandrake or something
like that should be just fine for what he's trying to do.
