From: Andy Oram <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, 10 Oct 2001 08:45:27 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Help requested with review of Perl chapters in O'Reilly MySQL book To: Boston Perl Mongers <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> This book got a lot of flack from the Perl community in its first edition. Apparently there were errors in the code, and expert developers didn't like the style of the code either. Now the book is in its second edition, and I'd greatly appreciate comments on the two Perl chapters. There's a PDF of the tutorial chapter at: http://oreilly.techrev.org/books/my_ch10.pdf and a PDF of the reference chapter at: http://oreilly.techrev.org/books/my_ch26.pdf I think you'll find some interesting techniques in the tutorial chapter. I've already asked the author for a simpler program to start the chapter: a trival open/query/display CGI program. The whole book can be found at: http://oreilly.techrev.org/article.pl?sid=01/08/22/1744232&mode=thread&threshold=0 How do you submit comments? Please send them to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can also post them directly to the Web site, but that requires the extra step of registering (the administrator decided not to allow anonymous cowards). Andy
