From: "Ranga Nathan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thu, 3 Jan 2002 14:17:24 -0800 Subject: Looking for some talent and collaboration To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> My company is interested in bidding for a number of DOD projects awarded under SBIR program. I am looking for some talent to help me out here. Many of these are R&D projects with potential for commercialization. I would like to hear from people who are willing to work with us on these projects. The grant money is not much but Phase II and Phase III could be big. Some examples: 1. Automated Verb Sense Identification - Develop an automated software system that recognizes verb phrases in machine-readable written text and identifies the proper meaning or 'sense' of the main verb. Reference: Princeton's WordNet lexicon. 2. Autonomous Satellite Cluseter Data Fusion - Design and develop technologies ot enable the assimilation of multiple information sources across satellite cluster and provide intelligent reasoning. 3. Complex Network Route Analysis System - Enable decision makers to identify the optimal route between nodes within a complex line-node network containing multiple influences with varying degres of importance. 4. Data Mining of GMTI Databases - Develop concentps and techniques for data mining of Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) databases. Warfighter Impact: GMTI databases have ben developed with the ability to store and retrieve vast amounts of data from multiple platforms over a long period. This request ould provide a dta mining capability to extract and exploit more information from databases of GMTI information. .... and so on..... A submission to DOD is to be made for each of the above requirement, key personnel assigned. When the project is awarded (probably 4 months from now) usually there is a 6 month time to complete phase I, after which DOD will make a decision whether to go to the next phase. There is much more detail available. Deadline for these submissions is Jan 16th. This is the date by which the submission should be in their hands! Navy allows the submission to be uploaded but Airforce needs it printed (you cant win them all!) Those who are interested please contact me immediately. ==================================== Ranga Nathan Reliance Technology Legacy to Web integration consultancy Text to web-database-spreadsheet, datamarts ADABAS, NATURAL, Perl, Apache, Linux, Wintel solutions Tel: 617 884 9801 Fax: 781 623 5646 http://www.cobolexplorer.com - cobol listings on the web http://www.any2xml.com - text to anything http://www.goreliance.com http://www.adaexplorer.com - ADAREP on the web + stats
