I've been meaning to attend some Perl Monger meeting for a couple of years now, but have never managed to do so (mostly because I don't want to commute from Sudbury to downtown Boston during rush hour).
The social gatherings seem to be in better locations. Do people talk Perl at these, or are they purely social? Would a stranger like myself be welcomed warmly?
