This is what I like to call the "prima-dona" argument, and is IMHO invalid. If you really are "30 - 60 iq points over the managers", then you should be MORE interested in maintaining good coding practices. If that's not the case, then you're either pressured (which I can sympathize with) or just lazy (which I can't). BAD coding practices are not something that I want MY code to incorporate. Grant M.
