Hello Fellow Perl Mongers,
I have just finished finals and so I am inclined to waste some time on
my personal network.
I picked up 2 GDM 17E10 old Sun monitors. So far so good. But now comes
the fun.
The monitors (both) stay in "amber blinking" mode (powersave?) and
do not
sync. Great. Broken, I say. But then I boot the SparcStation 5 with an old
B&W monitor that I use on my oldie Sparc Station II and, after i get the
friendly Solaris login screen in B&W, I unplug the montor and replace it
with the
17E10. And, as if by magic, now I see solaris in color, everything perfecty
running.
With all due respect for this wonderful piece of (ehm) technology, what
the heck is going on ????
