Remember the good old VT100, VT220 etc? I am revisiting them in my time machine. I need to capture output from VT220, interpret the control characters and extract information via Net::Telnet. I need to distinguish text from the escape sequences, identify user input in user-enterable fields and translate all this to a web page.
I wonder if anyone has done it before or have any advice for me. I do not have access to this application yet. I am gathering information at this stage. I have found some info at http://www.fastlane.net/~generic9/vt220.html#v5. I would like to talk to anyone who has researched this topic. The same goes for TN3270 as well.
