Some quick Boston Perl Monger updates... There will not be a technical meeting tonight. I will post an announcement to the list when the next meeting is scheduled. I apologize for any inconvenience.
In the meantime, how about a social meeting? Would someone like to be in charge of choosing a time and place? (Discuss this on the main Boston.pm list; I'll send a notice to the announcement list when plans are finalized.) At the last tech meeting, someone suggested to me that we have a panel discussion at a future meeting. (I'm afraid I've forgotten the Monger's name.) Possible topics include Perl vs. Python, various Perl 6 issues, comparing modules in a particular realm (e.g. date handling, HTML parsing)... I think this is a great idea. If you have input on this idea (suggested topics, offers to sit on the panel, etc.), please send it to the discussion list! The meta user groups that Ron noted look worthwhile. I will get us added to those sites, but I would like to update our web site to clarify our meeting scheduling first. I'm still waiting for the pm.org admin to arrange that.
