I'd like to clarify some things: 1.> I never intended to give the impression that I was somehow unhappy with the rules for NMS. On the contrary, I enjoy the challenge.
2.> I do realize that CPAN modules that fit the 5.004 criteria are allowed (and I didn't intend to mislead anyone) but we have to include them in the distribution, and that adds another level of complexity. I also have to get them to work with 5.004 if they don't already, so I'm hoping to create a simpler function-based filter. I apologize for any misunderstanding.
