Pest Patrol was started as anti Trojan software in the days when Trojan
horses (today bots or zombies) were mostly ignored by anti virus companies.
Some other such software aimed specifically at Trojan horses:
The Cleaner, BOclean and Trojan Remover.
The anti virus industry, full of very good guys, is usually however set
in its ways. This happened again with spyware, while these smaller guys
were all over them already as a niche market. They still do a very good job.
