I am writing to confirm the date and location for the legislative reception!
The Boulder County Human Services Alliance and St. Vrain Community Council have joined together with Boulder County Movement for Children to sponsor a legislative reception with the Boulder County legislative delegation. The date is Monday, December 5, 2005 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Laudisio's Restaurant in Boulder. Yummy hors d'oevres will be provided and a cash bar will be available. The forum is planned to provide our representatives advocacy statements prepared by our joint organizations around health and human services issues such as hunger alleviation, housing for the homeless, health care (including medical, dental and mental health care) to name a few. The legislators will also be provided with a list of our member agencies and the agencies that we work with around the state so they will have easy access to updated information during the legislative session in 2006. We are inviting our legislators the opportunity to share their legislative priorities for 2006, especially now that Referendum C has passed during the forum. If you have not provided me with your statewide affiliations, please do so by November 28th. If you have not paid your H.S.A. membership dues, your name will not be included on the membership list that will be provided to our legislators.
