Thanks Robin for your leadership in refocusing our efforts around public policy and political action. I agree that the forum was a huge success. I also think that the report card idea is a great one and wonder if we could figure out a way to provide our legislators with a report card on each of the substantive areas that we address each year, e.g. updated stats on number of uninsured/low income who receive services county-wide, amount of uncompensated care provided by all the hospitals, etc. The legislators commented on how helpful the report card is that Movement for Children prepare each year. The problem is that that format costs about $2000 to research, write and produce. Maybe a more "streamlined" (read, "cheap") way could be developed so that we could provide snapshot information on healthcare, homelessness, food insecurity, etc. each year.
