I had previously forwarded members of H.S.A.
an announcement of this meeting (facilitated by the Latino Task Force to
consider opposition to the upcoming anti-immigrant bills/ballot initiatives) -
please see below for notice of its cancellation.

Agency directors and service providers, we have decided to cancel the meeting to
discuss the anti-immigrant agenda, scheduled for Saturday, January
28th. We simply didnt get the type of critical mass we felt was
necessary to have the kind of discussion we had anticipated. The Latino Taskforce is extremely
concerned about the organized and growing anti-immigrant forces and their agenda
for this legislative session and the upcoming elections. The LTF believes that it is important to
discuss the possibility of having an organized local response and what it might
look like. To this end, we
will be seeking your advice and counsel in the near future. You will be informed of any future
meetings. Thank
you, Pete
