RE: Next meeting and statewide groups

Hi all,   Re: my assignment - It would seem that we are a fairly unique group in the state. I’ve talked to a few people in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Durango, and Ft. Collins – each told me of groups they were aware of working to address emerging trends and/or management issues in the nonprofit arena, but none seem to take it to the policy level. Durango is working on a health care funding initiative (I am trying to get more details) but no one knew of any current discussion around immigrant legislation.   There was some good information that came out of my meeting with funders in Denver, though the interest from that side really focuses on a long-term public education campaign, with much less comfort around specific legislation efforts.
