Hi all:

At our last meeting, the members voted to endorse the No on 2A campaign.  As you are aware, 2A seeks to require all annexations over 5 acres by the City of Boulder to a vote by the people.  The HSA voted to support a no vote on this initiative because it would lengthen an already lengthy cumbersome process that includes lots of opportunity for public comment.  Currently annexations must go through 4 bodies, each with public hearings in order to be passed.  They must fit within the Boulder Valley Comp Plan and if approved by 4 public bodies, voters can petition to put it on the ballot.  This is current annexation procedures.  The current initiative seeks to drive all annexations over 5 acres to a vote by the people.  This will lead to higher NIMBYism and fewer affordable housing units in Boulder.  The No on 2A campaign is asking for your endorsement and I encourage you to do so.  You may want to take this to your boards.  Remember that the lack of affordable housing in Boulder causes many of our employees to live outside the city and commute in.  Please email your individual endorsements to Dan Powers at [EMAIL PROTECTED].  If your board endorse the no on 2a, please forward that endorsement to Dan too.  Thanks in advance for your support of affordable housing in Boulder!

I met this woman at Peace Jam and she is looking for an Executive Director for a Human Enrichment group.  If you have any prospects, please pass it on.  Thanks.

Hello Sandy,

It was good to meet you on Sunday.  I'm passing on the job announcement for the nonprofit in Niwot I'm helping do an E.D. search for, the Foundation for Human Enrichment.

I would be very grateful if you'd pass this on to applicants whom you think would be a good fit.  Application deadline is October 2.

Many thanks, and I hope and trust our paths will continue to intersect.

Best,

Jane
