hello Tom: One thing I'd suggest is to rebuild the two dell PC's connections to the WEP encrypted network. Make sure you also delete any old configurations that used the WPA security encryption protocol. You should be able to do this from the wireless section of the network connections icon under control panel.
Another suggestion is to use a different channel other than the Linksys default of channel 6. I use channel 2 in both of my installations. Give that a try and let me know what happens.
