It actually depends upon what you want to do. There definitely are 1 gb flash
cards out there and if you would like something with no moving parts then the
flash card is the way to go. They are easy on the battery and you can leave
them in your machine.Some flash card manufacturers will even supply you with an
adapter to go with your card so you have the advantage of using it both in the
pcmcia slot as well as the flash card slot.
With the adapter, you can also use the card in a laptop too.
