This is Joseph. Hibernate mode in BN is a feature in KeySoft, when you do not use your unit for approximately 10 minutes. The easiest thing that you'll notice is that the power is off even though the switch is on the "on" position. The battery drain mode (this is used for running down the battery) is there to assist in battery calibration. In this mode, the BN won't hibernate. The procedure is different for BrailleNote Classic, PK and mPower. I hope this information may help you.
