Isaac,
I don't know how well a QT keyboard would work if connected to a QT 
BrailleNote.  I haven't played with this at all, I would go with whatever 
Richard Turner has on his website.

richard turner has uploaded some stuff to his website dealing with the PK 
and a qwerty keyboard. He's even mapped out things like the ALT key to be 
the function key etc etc. do you think such a setup could give me 
functionality of a qt machine as well as a bt machine? thanks
