This list is very helpful. I know it gets old for the wizards to hear the
beginners asking questions tthat seem to have obvious answers to those familiar
with how to do things. But as I learned ages ago when first getting involved
with WINDOWS, you never stop learning, and you can never remember it all. I
don't think I ever would have found that delete command under erase in block
commands because I think of block commands as editing type commands to do
things with chunks of a file, not with the file as a whole from the outside
Well I didn't before...now I will look at that concept differently. There is so
much new to learn here, and as I read through the manual, if I'm not
immediately going to use what I read, it hasn't a chance of staying in my head
any more until I come across the need for it. Having a collection of people
each remembering different parts of the whole is a marvelous resource for help.
And once I gain a new concept or skill, I go and practice it over and over
until
it becomes a new pattern I hopefully can remember and pass on to someone else
seeking it in the future.
was it Jim who taught me Function-O C W N? I do that every shutdown now and I
haven't had trouble with my wireless connection in ages.
