Hi, Jim and List, It is confusing to try to state correctly how many pins, and whether male or female, when discussing ports and cable ends and adapters, but I tried when speaking with Office Max the other night. This afternoon we looked for gender changer adapters, and would have had to buy two packages, to get what was needed. I asked about the possibility of a cable with USB one end and parallel the other to use with my mPower and printer and embosser. Well, I bought it for $30, and immediately I plugged it in here at home it reported card not recognized. As you may well know from experience, when the mPower says this, you can do nothing but reset, it just beeps at you when any key or combination of keys are pressed. Nothing worked. I plugged in the cable with the machine off as has been suggested on the list, didn't matter. Guess I should have bought the gender changing adapters also, to try with the cable which came with the mPower. Tomorrow. We've already been out quite long enough on this busy Black Friday!
