Hi All, Well, at least a couple of us on the list have purchased a $19.99 data plan from Cingular to get our BN and Nokia 6620 to work together. Actually, I'm using the BNPK via Bluetooth, but I know of at least one person using the infrared port. The data plan I'm speaking of gives five MB of data.
Now, as for whether one uses/is billed for a data plan, or another plan such as the MediaNet one, best I can tell from reading on the net, it seems to depend on what Cingular has your phone set up to use and then how you log in when setting up the PDA. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Lange" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2005 9:21 PM Subject: RE: [Braillenote] BrailleNote and Cell phones Hi Terry, Actually, what I was talking about was using the 6620 as a modem, using the BN's infrared port to talk to the infrared port on the 6620, connecting to GPRS and using keyweb instead of the phone's browser. Since I'm new to this stuff I'm not sure if what I'm talking about is possible or even makes sense. When I'm out and about I can't always get to a hot spot with my wireless card, so if I could get to the net as I described would be nice, especially if the speed's decent. Tom
