What if you hit the 123456 chord to go to main menu instead of e chord?
That's what I do and then I can turn the unit off, come back to it and it
will resume playing where I left off.

It's not working here. backspace-enter-w goes to key word, but the
.mp3 player keeps playing. The only way I can stop it is to do an
e-chord, but then when you start it up again it starts at the
beginning. The only way I can see to resume where you left off is to
make a note as to where the little lower g marker is, and hit the
appropriate cursor routing key. I'll check the manual again in case
there's something I missed.
