Does the same apply for SD cards? I have missed this information till now, have been very lucky so far, and intend to change my wicked ways! I assume this holds true for CF cards in a PCMCIA adapter?

Thanks,

Rachael, who has been leaving her cf card in the BN for five years now! Scary!

Hi Josh,

Just to add to what everyone else has written, I *ALWAYS*, and I mean always, take out my Compact flash card before doing a reset. On two separate occasions I performed a reset with the card in the unit and lost everything, with no warning. I am not the only one I know of who has experienced this very unfortunate problem. Jonathan has stated more than once on this list that it is recommended that one remove CF cards from units before resetting. And before you ask, no, I don't know why this happens or what causes it, I have know idea.

Sarah

Subject: [Braillenote] keyword locking up

Hi,

Also when she went into keyword to try and change something in a keyword
text file or .kwt file, it locked up on her...then she reset it, and then
there was nothing on her card. no warning about reformatting...nothing. Why
is it doing this?

Josh
