Thanks for the quick response. Sadly, the j-k-l and reset procedure did not
work. To make sure I was doing it right, I'll tell you my sequence:
power switch on.
key press together j-k-l and pressing the reset button.
all keys released at the same time after the beep.
The result was only a beep.
I tried the same sequence but continued to hold down the j-k-l keys even
after reset button was released and the beep had sounded. Five seconds
later, still no further indication of a functioning unit beyond the beep.
Regards,
Marilee

Hello,
Have you tried a reset with the 4-5-6 keys held down or reset with jkl if
a qwerty keyboard.
When doing this, hold down the keys until you hear it speaking unless it
never starts.
try this and let us know.
Robert

Subject: [Braillenote] Power on concern
I purchased a used VoiceNote some weeks ago and have been lurking on the
list since then. Many of the topics are far over my head at this point.
However, I have a very basic question. I had the VoiceNote fully charged
and stored away for couple of weeks. I took it out to work on my
familiarization and found that it would not turn on. I plugged in the
power
supply and let it charge for 8 hours but it did not respond to the power
on
switch. I tried a hard reset using the reset button. It makes a beep but
no other indication that it is functioning. My husband thinks it might be
a
battery problem and can be solved by a new rechargeable battery. Any
similar experiences and solutions would be welcome.
Thank you very much,
Marilee.
