Ann:
I'm not alarming anyone and they know that I posted this to the list. No
one freak its just take your flash card out when you turn off the BN so
you won't damage your data. Her are your answers right after your
questions. Would you rather not know the problem? If you wouldn't, then
hit the delete key. I have a responsibility to tell people.

Subject: [Braillenote] For Braille Note GPS Users, a warning

Hi Sarai,

Now, Sarai, you should know better than to cry "fire" in a crowded
theater. With information like you've just posted here, I firmly
believe that it is up to Sendero or to Humanware to give us the
specifics on this problem. You've given us just enough info so that
someone who isn't thoughtful will get all bent out of shape over this.
Please, please, when posting info like this, be very sure to be accurate
in what you are posting!

Here is a list of really pertinent questions that you should have
included in your alarmist post.

1. Which version of the GPS software are we talking about here? All
versions, particularly 3.3

2. Which version of Keysoft are we talking about here? All versions

3. Which model of the BrailleNote are we talking about? All of them
including the PK and M Power

4. Does this apply only to GPS files or to others as well? So far GPS
files only.

5. What conditions precipitate this problem? Leaving the card in while
power is off, turning back on the unit and corrupt data.

6. If it's been noticed in the past three weeks, can one assume that
this applies to 3.3, the MPower, both, neither, or what? All of
them, see previous question.

<grrrrr> This is so aggravating, and it is so frustrating!

Ann P.
