Hi Isaac
yes I have my palm pilot in the cradle which I can access through active
sinc via the USB.  Regarding mobile device it announces zero items and when
I tried to set it up it did not recognise the braille note as a mobile
device.

Sarah,
when you use activesync, you use the USB port. that's what I use. then I
open up Windows Explorer and it takes the files wheever I want to move
them. the Braillenote is under "Mobile device". that is where I go to find
the braillenote.
That's where I cut and paste files.
