Agree about the check program.  i hate checks!  I do all my banking online.
I would find being able to do calculations in a database a great thing, though.

  I personally wouldn't use a cheque programme, as I stopped using them some
  16 years ago.  They're so last century.  If I have to write the odd cheque
  now, I do it on the net but otherwise, the phone is my thing. Here in NZ,
  we're prolific users of EFTPOS, too.
