Hello Angie,

Suggestions for improvements to the BrailleNote family of products are
certainly encouraged. However, if people chatter about how they should be
implemented or why certain aspects of a suggestion should or shouldn't be
implemented, you are in danger of straying way off topic.
The other things you have mentioned are fine from what I can see as you are
educating people on how to use current BrailleNote functionality and talking
about how you personally use or would like to use your BrailleNote.
However, there has been some general chatter on various standards that
weren't educating people about the BrailleNote or helping in the use of it.
As long as you have thought about these things before posting and as long as
you're not sending a private email to someone via the list or a one liner
saying that you agree or similar, your message is generally fit for the
list.

Subject: [Braillenote] Off topic conversation

> No, this isn't a note of purposef7ul off topic conversastion. But I am
new to this list anD I want to know what is considered off topic.
> Recently I saw mention posts about News papers being sent to your inbox
and movie scripts available online. I find these extremely helpful. It's
info I did not know about.
> Is that off topic and not allowed?
>
> We were talking about thinks we would like to be ablwe to do with our note
takers - like having a reminder for the planner that does not use an alarm.
Or an alarm that bivrates.
> Is that off topic?
>
> I like off topic chat but I can understand why its not allowed. Just want
to make sure I follow the rules of the list.
