Hi, Kathleen,
The infrared phone I purchased is a Nokia model 6236 I. I have
tested it here at home also, and it works well. The phone itself
makes bleeps and other various sounds, but not at the point of
infrared starting up. I hold a button down a certain count, then
speak infrared into the phone and usually it's up and running.
My husband set it up for voice command, because it was too
cumbersome to do it the standard button pushing way.
