Thumb drives will only work with the mPower, this is due to the thumb drive needing a USB port in order for the BrailleNote and the thumb drive to communicate.

running 7.0?

Subject: [Braillenote] Great price for USB thumb drive for mPower

Hi Listers:

I've been using a Memorex USB thumb drive that came with a cloth
strip
youcan wear around your neck (like a necklace) since Christmas
and it
works very well withthe mPower.

I just found out Staples is selling the 512MB and 1GB memorex
USB thumb
drive at a great price through this Saturday June 3. The 512MB
thumb
drive is available for $19.98 (regular price $49.95) and the 1
gigabyte
sells for $29.98 (I didnt' ask what the regular price is but I
know at
COMPUSA it was either $89.95 or $99.95 at christmastime). The
three
staples stores I tried in my area are out of the 1gb drive but
said it can
be ordered online at www.staples.com SKU number 591071 (and the
512MB
drive can be ordered as well online but i don't have the SKU
number for
that). this is a promotional offer tht ends this Saturday June
3. I was
told Staples doesn't charge for shipping but haven't confirmed
it online.

I thought you would like to know about this USB thumb drive. It
works
very well with my mPOwer.

Barb
