Hello Paul,
If you have windows 98 on the pc it will need drivers before it can be recognized. If you are running windows xp on both computers, and it was recognized before, then you might want to check the usb ports on the pc. As for the braillenote, it should recognize the drive with no problems, it might be that you either need to wit a little bit before it shows up, or like some drives it may need to be plugged in when the braillenote is off and then turn on the unit.
Hth,
Robert Stigile

Subject: [Braillenote] External hard Drive Tried Now Problems

Good morning,

I tried using my external hard drive on the Braillenote MPower
and it was
not recognized. No problem so I thought. I was going to copy
some audio
files to the Braillenote. Now when I plug the external drive
into the USB
slot on the front of the computer it gives the recognition, two
tone beep,
and that is all that occurs. It is not seen anywhere in my
computer.

The drive when plugged into a laptop works fine. What could have
changed on
my computer so that it doesn't see this device?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated! This will teach me to not
to try
skipping one step in moving folders.

Have a great day,

Paul Bolduc
