Hi, Terry,

You should be able to search for the chapters and verses without changing 
the format.  I don't know what your Bible files look like so I can't say 
specifically.  If the chapters begin with the heading "Chapter 1", then you 
could search for the words "Chapter 1".  If the verses are numbered, then 
you could search for the verses by their numbers.
